NORMAN, OK — The annual Norman Christmas Holiday Parade will light up historic Main Street on Saturday, December 5, 2026, at 6:00 PM. This year’s festive event promises a vibrant community display centered around the theme, "Home Sweet Home Run for the Holidays" Adding to the celebration, the University of Oklahoma Baseball Team—fresh off their national championship victory—will serve as the 2026 Grand Marshals!
Festivities begin earlier in the day with Winterfest, hosted by Norman Parks & Recreation, from 3:00 PM to 6:00 PM along Jones Avenue. Families can enjoy pictures with Santa, local vendors, activities, and entertainment before heading over to Main Street for the parade. Immediately following the parade, the evening will culminate back at Jones Avenue with a tree-lighting ceremony and a state-of-the-art drone show overhead.
"We are thrilled to celebrate both the holiday season and our incredible OU Baseball National Champions," said an event spokesperson. "Moving Winterfest ahead of the parade—and capping the night off with the tree lighting and drone show—creates a seamless, full afternoon and evening of celebration in downtown Norman."
Parade Participation & Registration Details
Route: Spectators are invited to line Main Street from Pickard Avenue to James Garner Avenue. Main Street will close to traffic at approximately 5:30 PM.
Registration Dates: Opens November 1, with a firm deadline of Friday, November 20.
Entry Limits: Participation is capped at 60 entries.
Float Guidelines: Participants are encouraged to incorporate music, lights, movement, and the "Home Sweet Home Run for the Holidays" theme. Prizes will be awarded across multiple categories.
